Nintendo announced two new Switch 2 bundles launching this fall, each featuring a three-month Nintendo Switch Online membership and a game download code. The announcement comes shortly after the company raised the console’s price by $50, effective September 1, bringing the base unit cost to $499.99.
The first bundle includes Mario Kart World and will be available in late September at $549.99, delivering approximately $38 in savings compared to purchasing all components separately. The second bundle pairs the console with Nintendo Switch Sports Resort and releases October 22 alongside the game itself, priced at $529.99 for nearly $28 in combined savings. Preorders for the second bundle will open in the coming weeks.
These offerings represent Nintendo’s latest strategy to soften the impact of recent price increases. Previously available game bundles without membership perks have sold out across retailers. The company attributed the price increase to changing market conditions, widely understood to reflect global semiconductor shortages driven by artificial intelligence demand. Other major technology manufacturers including Apple, Amazon, Dell, Microsoft, and Sony have similarly raised hardware prices due to the same supply constraints.
