Colorado’s lone goal came early in the second half when Los Angeles defender Jeremy Ebobisse inadvertently scored an own goal in the 22nd minute. After Youssef Maziz delivered a free kick from the right flank into the box, the ball deflected off Ebobisse and past the back post for the decisive score.
For Los Angeles, the loss marked their first winless stretch of three consecutive games this season. The squad, now standing at 10-7-4, was unable to find the back of the net despite their efforts. Cabral Carter, making his MLS debut in the starting lineup, recorded three saves for the visitors. The two teams had previously battled to a scoreless draw in Los Angeles earlier this season.
