A leaker group known as CyberLeek has released new footage purporting to show Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay, featuring an aerial view of a detailed cityscape filmed from a plane. The video has circulated widely across social media platforms and gaming communities. While such leaks have become routine in recent months, this latest release contains a notable detail that distinguishes it from previous materials.
The footage concludes with an unusual sequence depicting the game’s protagonist Jason firing at a wall, with bullets forming the word “LEEK.” This particular element suggests the leakers may possess an actual playable build of the game rather than simply obtaining pre-release promotional materials from Rockstar Games or its partners. Questions have emerged regarding the completeness of this version and whether story details could be compromised.
However, authentication remains uncertain. The gaming landscape currently contains numerous counterfeit leaks and artificially generated videos, making it difficult to verify authenticity. CyberLeek has promoted itself as a protest movement against digital-only distribution and pre-order practices, though the group simultaneously markets its own cryptocurrency through watermarks on leaked content. The plane video itself was only released after winning a paid poll requiring CyberLeek memecoin transactions.
Rockstar Games and its parent company have been contacted for comment. An official extended preview is scheduled to premiere on Netflix August 27, preceding the game’s November 19 release date.
