Japanese musician Yoshiki has entered into a global distribution and publishing administration partnership with BMG, operating through his Melodee record label. The agreement grants BMG worldwide distribution rights for Yoshiki’s upcoming releases and catalog materials, marking a significant expansion of his international reach.
The partnership will begin with “Forever Love (Live),” a collaborative single featuring vocalist Josh Groban. Beyond this new project, the deal encompasses Yoshiki’s solo work “Eternal Melody” as well as X Japan recordings from 1993 onward, including the acclaimed albums “Art of Life” and “Dahlia.” BMG will also manage Yoshiki’s publishing rights outside of Japan.
Yoshiki expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting his desire to merge multiple musical genres including rock, pop, classical, and contemporary styles through creative projects designed for global audiences. BMG executives emphasized their commitment to supporting Yoshiki’s artistic vision and expanding his presence across international markets, positioning the arrangement as the foundation for substantial future developments in his career.
