During an appearance on Andy Cohen’s talk show “Watch What Happens Live,” the acclaimed actress participated in a game where she ranked various projects from her career. She gave the ABC Family drama, which ran from 2008 to 2013, the lowest possible score.
Ringwald explained that despite enjoying her castmates, particularly lead star Shailene Woodley, one unnamed individual on set created a challenging work environment. She declined to identify the problematic co-star but emphasized that this person’s behavior significantly impacted her overall experience with the series. Ringwald had appeared as a series regular for the show’s first four seasons before making guest appearances in the final season.
In contrast, Ringwald gave the highest marks to “Pretty in Pink,” the 1986 film written specifically for her by filmmaker John Hughes. She described the experience as exceptional and noted that she maintains a personal collage from the movie in her bedroom. During the game, Ringwald also discussed other projects including “Diff’rent Strokes,” “The Facts of Life,” and “Not Another Teen Movie.”
