AC Milan and Como are in advanced negotiations to finalize the transfer of midfielder Samuele Ricci, with the two clubs now hammering out remaining details of the agreement. The deal is structured as an initial season-long loan with a purchase option included. Como will assume full responsibility for the player’s wages throughout the loan period. Reports suggest the total package, encompassing both the loan arrangement and the buying option, is valued around €22 million, though an official fee has not been confirmed by either club.
Ricci arrived at Milan last summer from Torino in a transfer worth approximately €23 million plus performance-based add-ons. However, the 25-year-old found first-team opportunities limited at San Siro, making just 11 Serie A starts despite being included in the matchday squad for all 38 league fixtures. Increased competition from established midfielders restricted his playing time considerably.
Como continues to pursue additional signings before the September 1 deadline, with forward Moise Kean from Fiorentina among their targets. The club is also working on the sale of striker Alvaro Morata as they reshape their roster for the campaign ahead.
