Meghan Markle is reportedly considering a return to acting following her and Prince Harry’s recent decision to relocate back to the United Kingdom. The couple announced their move from California on Wednesday after spending six years there. According to reports, Markle has been presented with an opportunity for a role in a British-based production, though specific details remain confidential at this time.
The former actress is perhaps best recognized for her seven-season role on the legal drama “Suits,” which concluded in 2018. Since marrying Prince Harry that same year, she has largely stepped away from traditional acting work. More recently, she has maintained a presence in entertainment through hosting the Netflix series “With Love, Meghan,” appearing as a guest judge on “MasterChef Australia,” and preparing for a cameo appearance in an upcoming Amazon MGM comedy alongside Brie Larson and Lily Collins.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to arrive in England within the coming weeks, with their children Archie and Lilibet beginning school in September. While they plan to remain in the country for an extended stay, the couple intends to keep their California home and will not be relocating their production and lifestyle brands to Britain. They will continue their status as non-working members of the royal family, a position they have maintained since stepping back from official duties in 2020.
