Mad Solutions, a leading distributor across the Arab world, and Irth, a platform founded by Egyptian writer and screenwriter Haitham Dabbour, have joined forces in a major collaboration unveiled this weekend at the Venice Film Festival. The alliance seeks to strengthen the production and distribution of high-quality entertainment from across the Arab region, targeting both regional and international audiences.
Through their partnership, the two organizations will collaborate on developing, packaging, and promoting film, television, and digital entertainment projects originating from Arab creators. This initiative represents an expansion of Irth’s mission, which launched officially at the 2025 Red Sea International Film Festival and functions as the first writers’ collaborative workspace uniting screenwriters from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and neighboring nations. Mad Solutions, established in 2010 and based in Cairo, operates multiple divisions including international sales, regional distribution, and talent representation.
The companies plan to build a robust portfolio of original Arabic productions, including writer-led projects and collaborative development opportunities. Leadership from both organizations emphasized how their combined resources and networks will create new pathways for Arab storytellers and bolster projects at every production stage. The announcement coincides with Mad Solutions’ significant presence at Venice, where it is presenting two films and awarding recognition through its annual industry platform supporting African and Arab cinema.
