The BFI London Film Festival has announced a star-studded lineup of industry figures who will participate in on-screen conversations during the event’s 70th edition. The prestigious gathering will feature acclaimed actors, directors, and producers discussing their work and creative processes. Several participants are already gaining recognition in early awards season discussions, positioning the festival as a key venue for industry discourse.
The impressive roster spans multiple generations of filmmaking talent. Notable participants include Andrew Scott, recognized for recent acclaimed roles; Cynthia Erivo and Jesse Eisenberg; director Sofia Coppola; and established filmmakers such as Danny Boyle and Ava DuVernay. Additional guests include Mahershala Ali, Brad Bird, James Gray, John Malkovich, and Naomi Ackie. These conversations will showcase the work of both established and emerging creative voices across cinema.
Most discussions will take place at London’s BFI Southbank location, with one notable exception: Danny Boyle’s session will be held at Home in Manchester, marking the first event to occur outside the capital. Viewers unable to attend in person will have access to recordings through BFI Player and the BFI YouTube channel. The full festival program runs from October 7-18, with additional industry programming led by acclaimed producers Pippa Harris and James Wilson.
