Lego has unveiled its inaugural Wallace and Gromit construction set, marking the beloved Aardman characters’ entry into the brick-building world. The 1,038-piece set is part of Lego’s Ideas collection and arrives on October 1st, though eager fans can already secure their copies through preorders priced at $99.99.
The set captures an iconic moment from the franchise, featuring the dynamic duo aboard their signature motorcycle and sidecar setup. The build includes several nostalgic accessories that slot into the vehicle’s storage compartment, such as crackers, a yarn ball for Gromit, and a diamond referencing one of the films. Both main characters are articulated, allowing builders to pose them in various positions, with Gromit even equipped with goggles that can flutter realistically in the wind.
Designer Sébastien Esnault created the set after winning a Lego Ideas competition themed around 1990s nostalgia. According to Esnault, the chosen scene authentically represents the series’ core appeal, blending creativity, comedy, and friendship into a single memorable image. While the characters appeal to all ages on screen, the construction kit is designated for adult builders aged 18 and older, though younger enthusiasts can participate with adult supervision for complex assembly stages.
