Krispy Kreme has introduced a limited-edition doughnut collection featuring Pokémon characters, marking the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The U.S. rollout began on August 18, fulfilling a long-awaited wish for American fans who have previously watched international locations release exclusive character-themed offerings.
The collection showcases six custom designs available at Krispy Kreme locations nationwide. Each doughnut represents a different Pokémon: Bulbasaur arrives as a vanilla-iced glazed doughnut with leaf accents, while Charmander features chocolate and marshmallow filling with orange caramel coating and sugar “sparks.” Squirtle combines cotton candy buttercream with sanding sugar, Pikachu showcases lemon-flavored filling with yellow lightning decorations, Jigglypuff blends strawberry buttercream with cookie crunch, and a Poké Ball design completes the set with classic glazed doughnut styling.
Customers can purchase individual doughnuts or select a special Pokémon-themed dozen box combining all six specialty designs with classic Original Glazed doughnuts in limited-edition packaging. Select grocery retailers also stock a six-pack variety. Additionally, Krispy Kreme offers five collectible cups filled with Original Glazed Gold Dots for those seeking promotional merchandise.
A promotional offer runs through August 22, giving customers wearing any Pokémon merchandise the opportunity to claim one complimentary Original Glazed doughnut with no purchase required at participating locations.
