South Korean esports and entertainment company DRX has announced a strategic partnership with Indonesia’s PT Nuon Digital Indonesia, marking a significant expansion of gaming and entertainment collaboration between the two nations. The agreement was formalized in Jakarta and will leverage DRX’s expertise in esports, content production, and audience engagement alongside Nuon’s established local market presence and creator networks.
The partnership will initially focus on three key areas: live entertainment experiences, game publishing operations, and professional player development. A flagship entertainment festival called DRX Homefront Indonesia is planned for Jakarta, featuring competitive gaming events, creator programs, fan interactions, and Korean pop music performances. Additionally, the companies will work to bring Korean games to the Indonesian market while supporting Indonesian titles’ entry into Korea and surrounding regions.
Indonesia’s substantial population of over 280 million people, combined with strong mobile gaming adoption and enthusiasm for Korean cultural content, positions the country as a crucial market for both organizations. DRX leadership emphasized that success requires deep local knowledge and authentic connections rather than simply importing international brands. The partnership represents DRX’s broader strategic shift toward becoming a diversified digital entertainment company, with Southeast Asia identified as a priority growth region beyond its traditional esports foundation.
