Netflix’s upcoming spy comedy starring Kevin Hart and Henry Cavill has expanded its ensemble cast with the addition of three accomplished actors. Jason Isaacs, Justine Lupe, and Aja Naomi King have signed on to the yet-unnamed project, which will be directed by McG. The specific characters these performers will portray remain undisclosed at this time.
The film follows a premise centered on two rival intelligence operatives who unexpectedly encounter each other at a childbirth preparation class. When their spouses form a close friendship, the protagonists’ covert identities become intertwined in a series of comedic and perilous situations. This forces them to cooperate with one another while navigating the challenges of impending fatherhood.
The creative team behind the project includes writers Jonathan Tropper, Adam Nee, Aaron Nee, Lizzie Molyneux, and Wendy Molyneux. Production is being handled by multiple companies including 21 Laps, Hartbeat, and Maximum Effort, with Shawn Levy and Dan Levine among the producers. This marks another collaboration between the streaming platform and Hart, who has delivered several films to Netflix in recent years.
