In the guest appearance, Behrs will portray Dr. Johnson, an emergency room physician who provides medical care to Dennings’ character after she sustains a back injury.

Michelle Nader, who served as a showrunner and executive producer on “2 Broke Girls,” holds the same positions on “Shifting Gears,” creating a connection between the projects. The ABC series follows Allen’s character, a widowed car restoration shop owner whose estranged daughter and grandchildren move into his home, prompting significant life changes.
“Shifting Gears” was greenlit for its third season in April and will premiere in 2027.
