Jay-Z continued his string of high-profile guest appearances Thursday evening in Paris, inviting Justin Timberlake to perform alongside him. The two artists performed “Holy Grail,” a track from Jay-Z’s 2013 album “Magna Carta Holy Grail,” along with “Until the End of Time,” which originally featured Timberlake and Beyoncé.
The Paris performance follows a similar showcase of star power from Jay-Z’s London concert the previous week, where he reunited with Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean for a mini-Fugees moment, performing three of the group’s classic tracks from the 1990s. The artist has made guest collaborations a centerpiece of his recent tour stops, drawing major names from across music and entertainment.
The Paris show also marked a special occasion, as Beyoncé celebrated her birthday from a stadium box, though she did not perform. On the second night of performances, British rapper Dave and musician Sampha joined Jay-Z on stage. The artist has several additional concert dates scheduled, including performances in Los Angeles later in October.
