Pixar has unveiled the first concept art for “Incredibles 3,” offering fans their initial glimpse at the highly anticipated superhero sequel slated for release in summer 2028. The artwork was presented during the Disney Entertainment Showcase at the D23 fan event, revealing that the beloved Parr family will return alongside Frozone and other familiar characters from the franchise.
Director Brad Bird, who wrote the screenplay, has confirmed that the third installment will not feature a time jump, keeping the younger Parr children at their original ages. In this new chapter, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack will assume more prominent roles as they secretly venture out at night to protect their city while concealing their activities from their parents. The film will explore the aftermath of the superhero family’s legal reinstatement, which occurred following the events of “Incredibles 2.”
The ensemble cast includes returning stars Craig T. Nelson as Mr. Incredible, Holly Hunter as Elastigirl, Sarah Vowell as Violet, Samuel L. Jackson as Frozone, and Huck Milner reprising his role as Dash. Peter Sohn, known for directing “The Good Dinosaur” and “Elemental,” will helm the film, replacing Bird as director. “Incredibles 3” is scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 16, 2028.
