Halloween Horror Nights debuted Thursday at Universal Studios Hollywood, welcoming guests into a collection of frightening attractions. The event features multiple haunted houses based on popular films and television shows, including an experience centered on Netflix’s “Stranger Things 5” and another inspired by “Sinners.” Visitors quickly encountered long wait times, with some attractions reaching 60-minute queues within the first half hour of opening.
The park’s attractions drew varying levels of crowds throughout the evening. “Sinners” proved particularly popular, while newer additions like “Hellraiser” also attracted substantial visitor interest. Other themed houses based on horror franchises maintained waits ranging from 25 to 50 minutes. Characters from this year’s lineup wandered throughout the park, including a blood-soaked version of Nikki from “Obsession,” who randomly roamed the grounds in search of unsuspecting guests.
The Lower Lot housed a special tribute to music legend Ozzy Osbourne, featuring both a themed bar and a dedicated haunted house. The bar offered specialty cocktails and uniquely named food items, drawing hour-long lines by night’s end. The haunted house showcased various incarnations of Osbourne alongside imagery from his most famous songs. An area dedicated to the video game Fortnite also drew significant crowds along the walkway.
Halloween Horror Nights continues through November 1 on select nights, offering visitors extended opportunities to experience the park’s horror-themed entertainment.
