This fresh configuration gives the Warriors their first opportunity to face a revamped Memphis squad.
Golden State has historically struggled in home openers at Chase Center since the arena’s 2019 opening, posting a 2-5 record over seven seasons. The team reversed this trend last year when Steph Curry scored 42 points in an overtime victory against Denver. Last season, the Warriors swept all three contests against Memphis, with Curry appearing in just one of those games.
The Warriors’ home opener marks the beginning of a back-to-back stretch, with a road trip to Phoenix to face the Suns scheduled immediately after. San Francisco will host only two games during October, with an extended homestand planned for November at Chase Center.
