Ria Ross continued her impressive doubles streak, recording her tenth consecutive victory alongside new partner Aubrey Ryan. The pair defeated Lucille Zimmerman and Mikah Washington 8-0 in the top doubles match. Ryan, a junior, earned her first varsity doubles win just days after capturing her first varsity singles victory against Keokuk’s Remi Sanchez with a 6-1, 6-1 result. Ross also secured an 8-0 singles win at the No. 2 position over Washington, demonstrating her versatility across multiple lineups.
The depth of Fairfield’s roster showed throughout the match, with Natalie Steele posting a 9-0 singles victory over Zimmerman in the top spot. Steele missed the previous weekend’s invitational tournament while competing for the school’s volleyball team but expressed enthusiasm about returning to tennis.
