HBO has announced that the period drama “The Gilded Age” will return for its fourth season on November 1, airing at 9 pm ET/PT on both HBO and HBO Max. The network has also released a promotional teaser for the upcoming season, which features operatic music.
The new season will follow the aftermath of previous events as the Russell family navigates significant changes in their circumstances. Agnes van Rhijn looks to reclaim her former standing in society, while Marian charts a different course for her future. Additionally, Peggy pursues acceptance from her future family members as the characters enter a new chapter in their lives.
The upcoming season features an extensive ensemble cast including Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Louisa Jacobson, and Denée Benton, alongside numerous other established and guest performers. Created by Julian Fellowes, who also writes and executive produces, the series is a collaboration between HBO and Universal Television, with multiple producers and directors contributing to the show’s production.
