Clooney credited his father, a journalist and news anchor, with instilling in him a lifelong commitment to activism and advocating for the powerless. He praised his wife Amal, a human rights lawyer, for her tangible impact in bringing perpetrators of atrocities to justice, noting her work on behalf of Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad. Through the Clooney Foundation, he shared that they have successfully freed over 100 imprisoned journalists worldwide.
