Organized by Finch & Partners and CAA, the invitation-only event titled “The Future of… Creativity” is scheduled for September 4 at a historic venue in the Italian city. The gathering aims to examine how artificial intelligence and other transformative technologies are reshaping creative expression across multiple disciplines.
The forum will feature an impressive roster of panelists, including actor George Clooney, who will receive the Venice Film Festival’s Golden Lion lifetime achievement award, and actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, serving as jury president. Composer Alexandre Desplat, filmmaker Giuseppe Tornatore, and Vatican culture prefect Cardinal Jose Tolentino de Mendonca are among the other notable participants. The discussion will be moderated by Venice Film Festival artistic director Alberto Barbera, with additional contributions from visual artists, technologists and entertainment professionals.
This inaugural Venice event follows a similar gathering held at Cannes in May, which examined the future of film specifically. The Venice forum expands the conversation to address how technological shifts affect storytelling and artistic creation more broadly.
