The Arizona Cardinals have added defensive end Jared Harrison-Hunte to their practice squad, the team announced Tuesday. Harrison-Hunte was released by the Carolina Panthers during their initial roster cutdown to 53 players over the weekend.
Harrison-Hunte joined Carolina as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 offseason after playing one season at Southern Methodist University. The 6-foot-4, 294-pound lineman impressed at SMU, recording 42 combined tackles with 8.5 for loss and 6.5 sacks, earning first-team All-ACC honors. During his time with the Panthers in 2025, he spent the majority of the season on their practice squad and did not appear in any regular-season games.
The Cardinals had an opportunity to evaluate Harrison-Hunte during the Hall of Fame Game on August 6, when Carolina defeated Arizona 33-30. The defensive lineman made an impact in that matchup, recording a sack of Cardinals rookie quarterback Carson Beck. That performance apparently caught Arizona’s attention, leading to the practice squad signing.
