Fender has entered the portable audio market with a new product line featuring Bluetooth headphones and speakers. The company announced its offerings in January at CES and the devices are now available for purchase through Fender Audio, Best Buy, and Amazon.
The collection includes two Bluetooth speaker models and a pair of wireless noise-canceling headphones called the Mix. A standout feature of the Mix headphones is their modular construction, which allows users to replace individual components such as the headband, earcups, and battery. The brand plans to offer these replacement parts in various colors, enabling customers to customize their devices. The headphones deliver impressive battery performance, providing up to 100 hours of playback with active noise cancellation disabled, or 52 hours with it enabled.
The speakers are equipped with an XLR input, making them suitable for use as portable amplifiers for guitars. Both speaker models can function independently or work together as a stereo pair, with support for Auracast Bluetooth technology for multiroom audio setup. Priced at $299 and $399 respectively, the speakers feature solid construction and sound quality.
While the Fender Audio line is licensed rather than manufactured in-house, the brand’s iconic appeal combined with practical features like user-replaceable components positions it as a competitive option in the crowded consumer audio landscape.
