Director Kim chose George Miller’s “Mad Max,” describing it as the most authentic example of cinematic storytelling in the franchise. Cinematographer Hong picked Krzysztof Kieslowski’s “Three Colours: Blue,” noting how the film’s visual palette effectively conveys profound emotion through its use of color and imagery.
The festival’s Story Market has expanded its offerings with new international content. Four Hong Kong IP selections have been added to the marketplace, bringing the total official selections to 29 titles. Additionally, a new Remake IP section has launched, featuring five Thai films available for adaptation rights. The Thai selections span multiple genres, including horror, comedy, and family entertainment, with pitching sessions scheduled for early October.
