Warner Bros. Discovery has secured international distribution rights for a new documentary series examining the life and crimes of Jeffrey Epstein. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation-produced film, titled “Diabolical: The Epstein Files,” will debut on HBO Max beginning September 3rd across multiple territories including the United Kingdom, Italy, and the Netherlands.
The documentary traces Epstein’s rise to prominence, details his extensive trafficking network, and explores the institutional failures that allowed his abuse to continue unchecked for years. The investigation incorporates perspectives from law enforcement officials, legal professionals, journalists, and other individuals directly connected to the case. Notable contributors include abuse survivors and Epstein’s own brother.
HBO Max has obtained exclusive streaming and television rights across numerous European regions, the Middle East, and parts of Eastern Europe. According to executives at Warner Bros. Discovery, the project offers audiences a comprehensive look at a case that captured international attention and fundamentally altered perceptions regarding power and accountability within elite circles.
