Disney has announced the addition of two notable actors to its upcoming animated feature “Hexed.” The casting reveal took place during the Disney Entertainment Showcase at the D23 fan event held in Anaheim, California on Friday. Academy Award winner Jodie Foster will voice the film’s antagonist, a villainous witch queen, while Walton Goggins brings a three-eyed feline character named Beef Roger Crummchuk to life. Foster expressed enthusiasm about returning to Disney, noting that the studio played an important role early in her career through projects from the 1970s.
The animated film stars Hailee Steinfeld and Rashida Jones in leading roles. The story centers on a teenage misfit and her conventional mother who uncover that the girl’s peculiar traits are actually dormant magical abilities, leading them to a realm where magic thrives without restriction. The picture is helmed by first-time feature director Josie Trinidad, known for her work on previous Disney projects, alongside co-director Jason Hand. “Hexed” is scheduled to premiere in theaters on November 25.
