Deluxe Media Inc. and Tohokushinsha Film Corporation have announced a new strategic partnership focused on expanding localization services throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The collaboration combines Deluxe’s established relationships with major studios and streaming platforms alongside its technology-driven localization capabilities, with Tohokushinsha’s decades of creative expertise and established presence in the Japanese market.
As part of the initiative, Deluxe has established a new office within Tohokushinsha’s Tokyo headquarters to enhance coordination between both companies’ teams. This physical presence is designed to streamline operations and improve turnaround times while meeting the region’s growing demand for high-quality subtitling, dubbing, and localization services.
Industry executives highlighted the strategic value of the partnership. Deluxe’s CEO emphasized how the collaboration strengthens the company’s capacity to deliver localization services while helping premium content reach audiences globally. Tohokushinsha’s leadership noted that combining Deluxe’s worldwide studio and streaming platform connections with its own Japanese market expertise creates new opportunities for clients seeking comprehensive dubbing and subtitling solutions.
Deluxe, which traces its origins to 1915 as a film processing laboratory, has evolved into a full-service media company handling localization, distribution, and post-production for entertainment clients worldwide. Tohokushinsha, established in 1961, has become a leader in Japanese localization and has since expanded into production, broadcasting, and distribution.
