When asked which signal-callers he has been modeling his game after, Daniels cited Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams as his top choice for executing the system’s principles. He also mentioned Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions, noting their shared quarterback coach has enabled valuable conversations about Goff’s experience within his offense.
Daniels is transitioning from working with previous offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, who departed for the Rams. However, Blough’s previous experience on Washington’s coaching staff provides continuity, giving Daniels familiarity with the new system despite significant schematic changes.
