The 28-year-old right-hander opted for platelet-rich plasma injection therapy rather than more invasive surgery, allowing for a faster recovery timeline. In his limited action this season prior to the injury, Ashcraft maintained a 1-1 record with a 3.33 ERA over 26 games.
