The Los Angeles-based duo, known for their tongue-in-cheek occult-themed music, initially claimed they were removed from Crockett’s tour due to their satanic imagery. The incident subsequently generated significant media attention, with Twin Temple securing an opening slot for Jack White and a performance on The Daily Show.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Crockett clarified his version of events, asserting that Twin Temple fabricated the narrative surrounding their removal. He explained that production requests raised logistical concerns and that he decided to part ways after observing their stage performance, deeming it unsuitable for all-ages audiences. Crockett maintained he compensated the band in full for the cancelled shows.
