The parents of Celeste Rivas Hernandez have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against singer D4vd, alleging that he sexually abused their daughter beginning when she was 13 years old and continuing for over a year. According to court documents obtained by Rolling Stone, the complaint claims D4vd provided the minor with a hidden cellular phone and used false identities to maintain contact with her outside her parents’ knowledge. The lawsuit states that D4vd also arranged transportation and paid for travel to facilitate the alleged abuse.
Rivas Hernandez was found dead in D4vd’s Tesla in September 2025, months after her April disappearance. The lawsuit contends that D4vd stabbed the 14-year-old to conceal his alleged criminal conduct. In addition to wrongful death, the parents’ legal filing accuses D4vd of sexual battery, human trafficking, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, among other charges.
The complaint extends liability beyond D4vd himself, naming his managers Josh Marshall and Robert Morgenroth, along with their company Mogul Vision, as co-defendants. It also identifies his security guard and his publishing and merchandising companies. The lawsuit argues these entities provided resources, housing, transportation, and logistics that enabled D4vd to isolate the victim from her family and commit the alleged crimes.
