Creative Artists Agency has unveiled Frame1Games, a new initiative dedicated to supporting independent video game developers through funding, mentorship, and marketing assistance. The program combines substantial capital investment with a year-long accelerator designed to provide developers with guidance from industry professionals and CAA executives, along with connections to essential partners and vendors needed for game launches.
Frame1Games plans to back multiple independent projects annually, offering selected developers both financial backing and strategic support in areas including media, marketing, distribution, and partnerships. Participating games will be featured in a dedicated marketplace, and beginning in 2027, the program will showcase these titles at major gaming industry events such as Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards.
Jared Yeager, a veteran investment partner at Indie Fund who has backed over 50 titles, will lead the Frame1Games initiative alongside a board of experts. The program has already secured prominent mentors including Xalavier Nelson Jr., founder of indie studio Strange Scaffold. CAA’s move reflects its expanding presence in the gaming sector, having worked with studios including Respawn, Obsidian, and Turtle Rock Studios in recent years.
Independent developers interested in joining Frame1Games’ inaugural cohort can apply through the program’s official website. The initiative aims to address current funding gaps in the indie sector, recognizing that independent games now represent more than half of all games sold globally.
