Beyoncé is marking a significant milestone by releasing a reissue of her second studio album, B’Day, coinciding with her 45th birthday on September 4th. The expanded edition transforms the original ten-track collection into a comprehensive 27-song package that celebrates two decades since the album’s initial 2006 debut.
The anniversary release features previously unreleased material alongside newly recorded tracks and alternate versions. The collection incorporates B-side recordings, Spanish-language renditions of fan favorites, and the recently unveiled single “Morning Dew (Donk).” Additionally, the reissue draws from exclusive editions that were originally distributed across various retailers and digital platforms, including selections that appeared on limited releases in Japan and through specific online stores.
Physical formats will accommodate different collector preferences and budgets. A premium four-LP vinyl edition pressed on bayou blue vinyl will retail for just under $150 and include supplementary materials such as a 60-page booklet and two prints. More affordable two-disc CD versions will also be available. The original B’Day album achieved significant commercial success upon its 2006 release, reaching number one and eventually earning quintuple platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.
