Florida running back Jadan Baugh surpassed the 2,000-yard milestone in his career during the Gators’ season opener against Florida Atlantic University. The junior delivered an impressive performance with 160 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries, reaching the historic plateau through 26 career games.
Baugh becomes the 20th player in program history to achieve the 2,000-yard rushing mark, currently standing at 2,003 yards. Several Florida alumni remain within striking distance on the career leaderboard, with James Jones, Mike Gillislee, and Deshawn Wynn all possessing between 2,068 and 2,077 yards. The standout back also recorded his sixth career 100-yard game and moved to 16th all-time in program rushing touchdowns with 18 career scores.
Coming off a 1,170-yard sophomore season, Baugh established himself as one of Florida’s most prolific rushing talents. He joined an exclusive group alongside Emmitt Smith and Errict Rhett as just the third underclassman in school history to rush for 1,000 yards in a single season. With continued production at his current pace, Baugh could potentially climb significantly higher on Florida’s all-time rushing yards list before season’s end.
