The Museum of Modern Art and accessory brand Baggu have unveiled a collaborative collection featuring thirteen items adorned with masterworks from renowned artists. The capsule showcases pieces by Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, Ruth Asawa, Piet Mondrian, and Alma Woodsey Thomas across an array of bags and accessories. Starting at just $18, the collection makes museum-quality art accessible for everyday use.
The offerings extend beyond traditional totes, with options including a $24 charm accessory, duck-style bags priced between $46 and $48, a medium nylon reversible tote at $62, and a puffy picnic blanket at $74. The reversible tote showcases Ruth Asawa’s work on one side with a contrasting brown backing, while the picnic blanket features Claude Monet’s famous florals and is constructed from recycled nylon materials sourced from pre-consumer waste.
This partnership marks the latest chapter in a relationship spanning more than fifteen years. The two companies have collaborated since 2009, previously creating exclusive designs including a 2011 adaptation of Milton Glaser’s iconic New York imagery. The current lineup brings works directly from MoMA’s permanent collection to functional, wearable pieces.
Shoppers can find the collection through October 25 at MoMA Design Store locations, including the SoHo outpost, as well as on both the MoMA and Baggu websites. Select styles will also be available at Baggu retail locations.
