Audible is launching a new science fiction thriller this fall featuring an impressive cast and creative team. “Exoplanet,” set to debut November 5, is executive produced by Andy Weir, the bestselling author behind “Project Hail Mary” and “The Martian.” The audiobook is written by novelist Benjamin Percy and stars Anthony Mackie, Ariana DeBose, and John Leguizamo in leading roles.
The story follows a starship crew scattered across different time periods on a hostile alien world after encountering a quantum anomaly. Each crew member must survive in their respective era—from past to future—while an unknown alien intelligence hunts them across centuries. The narrative centers on their desperate attempts to communicate and reunite despite being separated by hundreds of years, blending scientific problem-solving with human emotion and survival themes.
The production boasts significant technical credentials, featuring sound design from Lucasfilm’s Skywalker Sound and an original score by composer Rob Cairns.
