Ascend Literary Management has announced the signing of television creator Robb Cullen to its roster of represented clients. The move expands Cullen’s representation while he maintains existing relationships with other agencies and representatives in the industry.
Cullen is best known for creating the series “Average Joe,” which debuted on BET+ in 2023. The show’s second season is set to premiere on Paramount+ and stars Deon Cole as a plumber who discovers his late father’s connection to stolen mafia money. Cullen also serves as an executive producer on the project.
Beyond “Average Joe,” Cullen has built an extensive career in entertainment. He co-created the FX comedy series “Lucky” alongside his brother Mark, earning both an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. His additional television credits include work on multiple networks and animated projects, while his film writing includes collaborations on action comedies featuring prominent actors.
Ascend Literary Management was founded earlier this year by Ian Greenstein, a veteran of major talent agencies including Gersh and Paradigm. The firm represents writers and creators across television and film projects, with Cullen currently developing an action drama series through collaborations with established entertainment companies.
