Yoto has unveiled its fourth-generation audio players, marking a significant redesign of the popular children’s devices. Beginning September 10, both the Yoto Player and Yoto Mini became available for preorder, featuring substantial internal and external improvements over previous versions.
The new generation introduces the Green Button, a side-mounted control that enables children to access downloaded audio directly from the device without requiring internet connectivity or Yoto Cards. Parents can load up to two playlists containing 20 titles each, giving youngsters greater independence in selecting content. Additional upgrades include improved chipsets, faster download capabilities, enhanced connectivity, and expanded storage capacity up to 64GB, supporting approximately 1,000 hours of audio content per device.
Beyond performance enhancements, both devices feature a refreshed aesthetic with smoother, more rounded edges designed to appeal to children while maintaining a contemporary appearance. The nightlight has also been enlarged. Existing wireless docks and travel cases will remain compatible, though silicone Adventure Jackets from earlier generations will require replacement when updated versions release.
The Yoto Mini will retail at $109.99 with shipping anticipated by September 30, while the Yoto Player carries a $149.99 price tag with expected delivery in mid-October.
