The WNBA has partnered with Brooklyn-based jewelry brand Catbird, designating the company as the league’s inaugural demi-fine jewelry partner. The collaboration coincides with the WNBA’s celebration of its 30th season in 2026, marking a significant milestone for the professional women’s basketball league.
To commemorate the partnership, Catbird and the WNBA unveiled a limited-edition jewelry collection launching September 1. The line features three distinct charm designs: a Jumpwoman Charm replicating the league’s iconic logo with a commemorative 30th-season inscription, an Engravable Basketball Charm offering personalization options, and a City Letter Charm showcasing official team abbreviations from eight cities. Customers can select from sterling silver or 10-karat gold versions, with pricing beginning at $74.
The campaign features New York Liberty founding players Teresa Weatherspoon and Sue Wicks in its promotional imagery. This partnership reflects Catbird’s expanding presence in entertainment and pop culture collaborations, following previous ventures with musicians including Phoebe Bridgers and Japanese Breakfast, as well as streaming television productions.
The WNBA’s 30th-season programming throughout 2026 has included archival initiatives, merchandise releases, special court nights, and a retrospective countdown of the league’s greatest plays since its founding approval in April 1996 and inaugural season launch in June 1997.
