Pop group Katseye made a special appearance on The Tonight Show, performing their latest single “Animal” for late-night audiences. Four members of the ensemble—Daniela Avanzini, Yoonchae Jeung, Lara Raj, and Megan Skiendiel—delivered an energetic rendition of the track, which was co-written by Ed Sheeran and produced by Omer Fedi and Blake Slatkin. The performance marks a significant moment for the group as they prepare to launch their new five-track EP titled Wild on Friday.
During their sit-down with host Jimmy Fallon, the members discussed their upcoming project and how they characterize this chapter of their musical journey. When asked to describe the era, the group highlighted themes of growth and maturity alongside the project’s title. They also shared details about their collaboration with Sheeran, explaining that the musician approached them with the song after they met at the NRJ Awards in France.
The appearance comes as two members remain absent from the group. Sophia Laforteza recently announced she is taking time away to focus on her mental health, while Manon Bannerman continues her ongoing hiatus. The remaining members expressed their support for their absent bandmates, with Raj emphasizing the loyalty shown by their fanbase throughout these changes. Following the EP’s release, Katseye plans to embark on their inaugural arena tour, with shows scheduled across North America and Europe beginning in September.
