The candidates represent a mix of experience and skill. Ava Elias, a junior from Smyrna, earned first-team All-State recognition in Division I after helping the Eagles capture the state championship. Molly Masten, a senior from Milford, also secured first-team All-State honors in Division I. Two other seniors round out the contenders: Atia Sabbagh from Cape Henlopen, ranked second in postseason player evaluations and committed to St. Joseph’s, and Genevieve Walch from Newark Charter, who will continue her career at Syracuse.
Rounding out the field is Bernadette Patino, a junior from Archmere, who delivered an impressive 40 points during her sophomore campaign to earn first-team All-State recognition in Division II. All five players were selected based on their outstanding performances in the previous season and their status as returning standouts for the upcoming year.
