Russia has conducted another significant aerial assault on Ukraine, resulting in multiple casualties across several cities. According to Ukrainian officials, at least three people have been killed and numerous others injured in the overnight strikes. Emergency response teams have been deployed to multiple locations, including a marketplace in Kyiv where a fire has broken out following the attack.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russian forces deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure in cities including Kyiv, Kremenchuk, and Kryvyi Rih. The strikes have affected at least thirteen regions throughout the country. Meanwhile, Moscow reported that one of its facilities—a warehouse operated by a major online retailer—sustained damage during Ukrainian counterattacks on the Russian capital.
The latest assault represents an escalation in the intensifying aerial campaign between the two nations. Both sides have significantly ramped up their use of drones and missiles in recent weeks, with each claiming successful interceptions of enemy weapons systems. The conflict, which began with Russia’s 2022 invasion, has increasingly shifted toward air-based military operations as ground forces achieve only marginal territorial changes along the extended frontline.
