The Pixel Tag distinguishes itself through dual tracking technologies. It features an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, runs on a CR2032 coin battery lasting over a year, and includes a button to trigger sounds on paired devices.
The tracker works with Google’s Find Hub network, which utilizes Bluetooth connections from Android devices worldwide to help locate missing items. When users are in close proximity, the UWB feature displays distance and direction on compatible phones, while Channel Sounding provides precise distance readings on devices with Bluetooth 6.0 capability. Pixel 10 and later models can access both features, though base models lack UWB support. Users can also command Google’s Gemini assistant to ring the tracker remotely.
