Sony’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” claimed the second position with $71.3 million, following a robust opening that ranks among the strongest debuts ever for the superhero franchise. The film is performing exceptionally well, already tracking ahead of 2021’s “No Way Home” at comparable points in its theatrical run.
The strong box office performance reflects broader regional momentum, with year-to-date figures now exceeding $1.05 billion, running substantially ahead of previous years. Industry analysts attribute this success to a diverse slate of major releases capturing audiences across multiple demographics throughout the summer season.
