Texas A&M is ramping up its recruiting efforts for the 2028 class, with several high-profile prospects set to visit College Station this fall. Among the targets making the trip to campus is David Dotson, a four-star edge rusher from Atascocita High School in Texas who ranks among the nation’s top pass-rush prospects. Standing 6’5″ and weighing 240 pounds, Dotson has versatility to line up as a stand-up rusher or slide inside to defend the run. He is scheduled to visit during Texas A&M’s October 3 home game against Arkansas, joining a growing list of blue-chip recruits interested in the program.
Dotson has drawn interest from several powerhouse programs, including Texas, Oklahoma, SMU, Ohio State, Michigan, Georgia, LSU, and Alabama. The defensive prospect has emphasized that player development, coaching relationships, culture, and academic fit are key factors in his decision-making process as he evaluates his options during the recruiting cycle.
