Paris Saint-Germain have completed the acquisition of Spanish forward Ferran Torres from Barcelona, securing the 26-year-old on a five-year contract through June 2031. The French champions paid approximately €50 million for the attacker, who will reunite with former Spain national team manager Luis Enrique at the Parisian club.
Torres recently gained international prominence by scoring the decisive goal in Spain’s World Cup final victory, netting the only goal during extra time against Argentina last month. The achievement capped a stellar period for the forward, who has established himself as one of Europe’s prominent attacking talents in recent seasons.
The forward departs Barcelona after more than four years with the Catalan club, having joined from Manchester City in January 2022. During his time at Camp Nou, Torres made 207 appearances and contributed 65 goals across all competitions, including 16 league goals last season that earned him a shared trophy for La Liga’s leading domestic scorer alongside teammate Lamine Yamal. He also won seven trophies with Barcelona, comprising three league titles, one Copa del Rey crown, and three Spanish Super Cup victories.
