Riva Studios has announced a theatrical release strategy for “Forza,” a family sports drama that will debut in Indonesia during the final months of 2026 before expanding to international markets in early 2027. The studio simultaneously unveiled a teaser for the film, marking a significant milestone as the project represents Riva Studios’ inaugural live-action feature production. Founded by Balsamo and Tara Sibel Demren, the independent company maintains offices across the United States, France, and Italy.
The narrative follows Bima, an 11-year-old from a struggling community in Bali whose dreams of using soccer to improve his family’s circumstances become attainable after meeting Marco Cagliostro, a veteran player portrayed by Balsamo himself. This encounter leads Bima toward a youth academy opportunity with AC Milan in Italy. Shot across both Indonesian and Indonesian locations, the production incorporates multiple languages and cultural elements. Newcomer Ghazi Alhabsyi stars in the lead role, while the ensemble cast includes established Indonesian actors and former Italian football professional Alessandro Costacurta.
Adhya Pictures will handle distribution throughout Indonesia, with additional international partners expected to be announced as the release date approaches. Balsamo makes his directorial debut with the project, while several cast members, including Alhabsyi and Demren, appear in their first acting roles. The soundtrack features contributions from various international and Indonesian musicians, curated by music supervisor Nigil Mack.
