A significant legal conflict within the Quintanilla family has escalated as Abraham “A.B.” Quintanilla III has filed a formal lawsuit against his sister Suzette Quintanilla-Arriago. The complaint, filed in Nueces County, Texas on September 10, centers on financial matters related to their late sister Selena’s estate, with A.B. seeking damages exceeding $1 million.
According to the lawsuit, A.B. contends that Suzette, who manages the estate following their father’s 2016 transfer of responsibilities to her, has failed to provide complete financial accounting and has not distributed his full share of profits. The filing specifically alleges breaches of fiduciary duty and claims that the estate’s assets, liabilities, revenues, and transactions have not been properly disclosed.
The legal action follows an intense public dispute between the siblings on social media. A.B. initially posted about the pending lawsuit, prompting Suzette and their mother Marcella to issue a statement denying he had actually served papers. A.B.’s legal representative subsequently confirmed the lawsuit would be filed, citing concerns about improper accounting and asset distribution within the estate.
