Roku has appointed Gianluca Pucacco to the newly created position of vice president of revenue operations and international growth, effective August 24. The streaming platform made the announcement as it continues advancing toward its acquisition by Fox Corporation. Pucacco will report directly to Patrick Harris, who assumed the role of senior vice president of global media revenue at Roku earlier this year.
Pucacco brings extensive experience from prominent technology and financial companies. His previous positions include leadership roles at HP, PayPal, Microsoft, Meta, and Stripe. During his tenure at Meta, he oversaw international operations and global sales for a team exceeding 500 employees while contributing to the company’s advertising revenue growth beyond $50 billion. At Stripe, he developed operating systems and commercial frameworks that supported the company’s international expansion.
In his new position, Pucacco will concentrate on enhancing Roku’s revenue operations framework, accelerating monetization opportunities internationally, and expanding the company’s advertising reach globally. The appointment represents Roku’s continued investment in its sales infrastructure following the recent departure of Jay Askinasi, who transitioned to Paramount Skydance as chief revenue officer. As a pioneer in connected television technology, Roku aims to expand both traditional streaming advertising and performance-based advertising initiatives that encourage consumer actions such as purchases or information requests.
